What did you say?
What I needed to say was…
“Boys, stop bouncing the basketballs.”
What I actually said was…
“Boys, keep your balls in your hands!”
I think you can imagine what happened next.

Like any good teacher, you were trying to be positive and tell them what to do instead of being negative and telling them what not to do. Sometimes the best of intentions...
